Day 13 was one of the most interesting so far. We got up to the alarm and were ready for our breaky at 7.15am, only to work out that Ireland was on summer time, so we were an hour early.
The lovely owners of the B&B drove us to the ferry after our yummy breaky, on a very wet, wild and windy day.
We boarded the biggest ship I have ever been on and
finally found ourselves a seat in one of the coffee lounges on the
ship. Even though it was still docked, we could feel the gentle sway,
so made sure we took a travel sickness tablet, just in case.
As the boat pulled away it really started to move about, it was then that we realised that this would be an interesting trip.
We were only about 45 mins max into our 3 hour trip and the first one started. A person just down from us hurled into a sick bag. Then it was like a domino effect. I realise that the sea was a little rough, but they probably could have thought of this as they made their way to the ferry and took precautions. But no one did. The hurling was horrific! There were whole families, kids, the old, quiet ones, loud ones, messy ones they were all going, everywhere you looked. But Clay and I held firm and kept our breaky down.
As we pulled into port, the waters calmed and the entire ships spirits rose. You could feel it.
We then had time for a quick cuppa before jumping on the train and heading to Cardiff. The first thing we noticed when we got on the train was that there was a dog, on a seat! We were all cramming onto this train and yet the dog still had a seat. It was really strange for me.
We were on the train for another 3 hours before getting into Cardiff. Then it was a quick cab ride (only cause it was raining) to our hotel. Just as we were putting our bags in our room, we had a knock at the door and the manager presented us with a bottle of wine as a honeymoon gift. very cool.
We then went out for pizza and pasta dinner followed by a beer in a welsh pub. Then we fell into bed absolutely stuffed.
