Day 5 - Munich Museums

On day 5 we had a bit of a sleep in and awake to a beautiful summers day.  We had our usual awesome breaky and headed out into Munich for another day of exploration.

Our first sotp was the BMW Muesum - So cool!!  We go to see both old and new BMWs, learnt about the design process ect.  The displays were amasing!  There were both cars and bikes suspended in mid air, and heaps of hands on displays as well.

After the BMWs, we caught a train back into town and headed for the Science and Technology Museum.  This place was amazing!  Each level was dedicated to a different  level of technology and gave each sections history from the very start.  So for example, the first floor was everything at sea level and below.  Like boats and submarines ect.  There wasn't just pictures of these things, there were full sized boats and submarines inside this building.  This went all the way up to astronomy and astronotics.

It also split up into sections like photography and printing and even electricity.  Clay loved this one!  They even gave a demonstration on how electricity moves ect.  Well that's what I thought it was on, it was in german.  But check this out....

There is a guy inside that ball!!!!!

After being kicked out of the museum at closing time, we decided on an early dinner.  So we grabbed a take away burger and beer each and headed down to the Isar River for a relax....  With everyone else.  It was wonderful.  The water was very cold, so there was no swimming for us, but just to sit in the shade with a burger and beer was AWESOME!!

And just to prove it our beer was cheeper than the water we bought to drink whilst we waited for our burgers.

We then caught a tram home for our last night in Munich.
