Here we go

After leaving Brisbane on August 15th we arrived in Munich also on August 15th.
We had a stop over in Singapore for about 1/2 hour then another in Dubai for 4hrs.
The plane trip was all exciting for the first leg, the excitement wained for the second leg, and by the third we were over it.  In the end, the 1200 channels on the plane weren't enough to keep me amused.

Dubai was a massive eye opener.  It seemed like every culture on the planet was made to feel somewhat at home.  The strangest thing was landing in the middle of the desert.  There was sand everywhere and only a few shrubs.  The airport was cool, and we went straight for a shower to freshen up.  If I was ever going to contract tinnia, the shower in the Dubai airport is where I would get it.  So far, no itch so i think its all cool :)

Munich is interesting.  Im really enjoying just checking everything out from the window.  People stop their cars anywhere.  It seems that as long as you put on your hazards, its fine.

Breakfast was awesome.  So many things that I wouldn't think were breakfast foods were all served up and were awesome.  We're about to go out and explore Munich. After breaky settles of course.

Ok so this is my side of the story.  Yes I was excited in the begining, but to say It was only waining by the end of the first leg is an understatement.  I wish if they were going to put the chairs so close to each other that they would raise the chairs or put foot wells underneath them for tall people... like me.

We were really lucky with the people that we sat with, the first couple we were at with were an older brother and sister, the brother was a car guy as well, and when I told him I was driving the ring, his first question was are you going to get under 7:30 lap times, to which I replied I'll be happy for under 15:00's.

The second leg was with the same people, but the third leg was with a German coming back from India who is a Ginger Beer who prints 3D parts for peoples teeth.  He was really good to talk to and got us in to town on the train for 30 euro, that gets us all our local travel for the next 3 days.  We were planing on spending 50 to 60 euro for a Taxi.

We were a bit lostish, but even in another country at 11:30pm after being awake since the day before my internal compass was pretty farking spot on.  I was out by 10m's, but in saying that there were transport people there who spoke enlgish to help us out.

Then we walked to our location, at once stage there I thought it was a bit dodgy, but now I realise I was walking around at 12:00pm, I quite happy with how undodgy this place really is.  As soon as I we got out I thought of Melbourne.... sept it's 10 million times better cause it was still warm at 12:00pm

Dinner last night was a 2.50 euro peice of pizza shared between the 2 of us.

Breakfast was frigging amazing... pruscheto, cheeses, fruit, bacon eggs, breads, cerials etc etc etc.  Unfortunately no vegemitte... I didn't think I would even miss it... but it was one of the first things I thought of when I sat down.

Anyways thats about it for me.

Cya bye.
